Projeto de revitalização do Forte Orange (Project to revitalize of Forte Orange)

   Tem novidades na Ilha! O Forte Orange um dos principais pontos turísticos da Ilha de Itamaracá e um dos patrimônios históricos do estado de Pernambuco acaba de receber um projeto de restauração.  Ele foi apresentado no último dia 25 de Março no Projeto Peixe-Boi, aqui mesmo na Ilha. A apresentação contou com a participação  prefeito da ilha de Itamaracá, do deputado federal , dentre outros. O projeto levou quatro anos para ser feito e prevê a contenção  do avanço do mar, restauração de todo o Forte Orange, que hoje encontra-se fechado a visitações,  e  a construção de um museu.    

     É sem dúvida um importante projeto, ele permitirá aos turistas conhecerem um pouco da história da Ilha e aumentar o turismo pois, o Forte Orange já foi uma das mais importantes atrações turísticas  de Pernambuco.  

   Contamos com a seriedade das autoridades para que o projeto se concretize, e que esse seja o primeiro de muitos, a nossa Ilha merece.

There is news from the Island! The Fort Orange is a major tourist site of Itamaracá, and the historical state of Pernambuco has just received a restoration project for this important heritage. It was presented last March 25 at the Manatee Project here on the Island, and the presentation was attended the Mayor of the Island of Itamaracá, and our Congressman, among others. The project took four years to make and provides for the continuation of the restoration, a new sea protection project around the Fort Orange (that is currently closed to visitors), and the construction of a museum.

    

It is certainly an important project. It will allow tourists to know a little of the history of the island and increase tourism for the Fort Orange, once one of most important tourist attractions in Pernambuco. We count on the seriousness of the authorities for the project to go ahead, and that this is the first of many that our island deserves.
